Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is an Spanish pop and flamenco vocalist. Involved in the margins of popular and traditional music from her early teens, she delves into other genres like hip-hop soul, and trap. Her voice is called by a greater artist than the flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, but with a bite like the old one. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a important commercial and critical breakthrough that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally winning the Grammy. The song La Fama featuring the Weeknd was released in 2021. It was her third studio album. Motomami featured songwriting collaborations alongside a host of artists and producers like Cory Henry and James Blake. It was released on March 20th, 2022 just after the appearance on Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia has been the only Spanish vocalist to appear solo on the program. Motomami Rosala along with winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, was the first woman to win both awards.
