Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is the Spanish flamenco and pop singer. As in her teens, Rosalia has performed in classical and popular genres. Her music interests extend to other genres including hip-hop and soul. Her voice has been described by no less a talented flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, but that has a smoky tinge like older songs. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally getting the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. The set was released following Saturday Night Live's performance of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the very first Spanish singer to be the only solo performer on the show. As well as winning three additional Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
