Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress, model and TV host as well as a comedian. Panganiban has been referred to as the queen of Drama across various media. The youngest contestant in show history and second in the show's history, she placed 2nd. Angelica Hale became very sick in 2012, at the time she was only 4 years older. Her pneumonia was double that was caused by a severe strep-pneumococcal bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston were where she was treated for her life-saving condition with an ECMO-based, life-saving. It was not until her kidneys recovered that she could be saved after she developed a septic infection and was diagnosed with multiple organ failure. Her new norm was hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. After an hospitalization of 80 days Angelica nearly died after which she began a journey to recovery. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for over a decade half of that time before she was able to undergo her kidney transplant. It was her own mother who donated her kidney. Angelica as well as her mom underwent the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on the 13th of September, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from each other. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her dream of becoming a star ever since.
